The Hart Law Group Staff
We are so proud to have pulled together such knowledgeable and experienced team of professionals. These ladies bring together a platform of experience that fully blankets the understanding of real estate transactions, litigation and estate and probate matters. Their knowledge represents a half century of cumulative legal experience. We are pleased to introduce:
Bonnie Carlin, North Carolina Board Certified Paralegal and Firm Administrator
Email: bonniecarlin@thehartlawgroup.com
Bonnie moved to Asheville from Florida in the early 70's with her parents and three brothers. After her marriage in 1987, she left Asheville and lived and worked in Greenville, South Carolina and later Charlotte, North Carolina, where she worked in the loan department of the State Employees’ Credit Union until the fall of 2003. As you can see, Asheville won her back, and we're lucky to have her. Bonnie is a North Carolina Bar certified Paralegal and a Notary Public and brings more than 25 years of legal experience to The Hart Law Group, with particular emphasis in the real estate practice.
Bonnie volunteers some of her free time to Hands-On Asheville, a United Way funded agency. She volunteered for five years baking cookies for the The Rathbun Center and now coordinates Hands on Volunteer at Ten Thousand Villages in Asheville. Bonnie is also on the call list for and teaches classes on real estate closings and documentation at the Consumer Credit Counseling of Western North Carolina, another United Way funded agency.
She is the mother of two, Jeff, 17, who will graduate from Asheville High and Betts, 20, who is attending the University of North Carolina at Asheville. She's an animal lover and lives with a miniature Schnauzer, Luci, and Sylvia the Cat. She enjoys gardening, “slow cooking” and is always willing to throw together a brunch or dinner on request. One of her cooking mantras is “there is no such thing as too much garlic”.

Jamie King, Executive Assistant to Mary Hart
Email: jamieking@thehartlawgroup.com
Jamie was born and raised in Jacksonville, FL. After earning a BFA in Painting in 2005 from the University of North Florida, she decided to move to the rich arts community of Asheville. She showed her paintings in local galleries, winning several awards in juried shows, and started her own handcrafted jewelry business, Studio JMK. Her jewelry is shown in Grovewood Gallery in Asheville.
In 2009, Jamie earned an AAS in Digital Media from AB Tech, here in Asheville. She and fellow graduate, Chris Sparks, have started their own graphic and web design firm, Sparking Design. Just a year out of school, they are expanding their client list and loving every minute of their work.
When not in front of her computer moniter, Jamie still makes time for painting and jewelry design. She also enjoys visiting galleries, watching movies, and spending time with family and friends.
