Bonnie Carlin,
North Carolina Board Certified Paralegal
and Firm Administrator
Email: bonnie@thehartlawgroup.com
Bonnie came to Asheville from Florida in the early 70's with her parents and three brothers. After her marriage in 1987, she left Asheville and lived and worked in Greenville, South Carolina and later Charlotte, North Carolina, where she worked in the loan department of the State Employees’ Credit Union until the fall of 2003. As you can see, Asheville won her back, and we're lucky to have her. Bonnie is a North Carolina Bar certified Paralegal and a Notary Public and brings more than 25 years of legal experience to The Hart Law Group, with particular emphasis in the real estate practice. She has worked for two of the very prominent firms here in Asheville, as well as with a sole practitioner.
Bonnie volunteers some of her free time to Hands-On Asheville, a United Way funded agency. Hands-On supports The Rathbun Center which offers housing to families of seriously ill individuals who are patients in one the many excellent medical facilities here in Asheville. Bonnie coordinates volunteers and helps bake cookies and provides personal attention to those involved in helping others through traumatic illness. Bonnie is also on the call list for and teaches classes on real estate closings and documentation at the Consumer Credit Counseling of Western North Carolina, another United Way funded agency.
She is the mother of two teenagers, Jeff, 15, and Betts, 17, who is off to University of North Carolina at Greensboro in fall 2008, exciting for all who know Bonnie and her children. She's an animal lover and lives with a miniature Schnauzer, Luci, and Sylvia the Cat. She enjoys “slow cooking” and is always willing to throw together a brunch or dinner on request. One of her cooking mantras is “there is not such thing as too much garlic”. |
